Our story
2015
Hundreds of meetups across Europe
Attended hundreds of tech meetups — AI, Python, Java, MATLAB, Julia — learning firsthand what makes communities thrive and where organisers struggle.
2016
Started organising
Launched and ran meetup groups across diverse technical communities. Each event surfaced new pain points — and new ideas for what a better tool could look like.
2017 – 2024
7 years leading PyData Eindhoven
Managed a premium paid AI conference for seven consecutive years — speaker recruitment, agenda curation, financial tracking, attendee experience. We learned what separates a good event from an exceptional one.
2024
1,000-attendee international conference
A three-day conference. 400 speaker proposals. 100 accepted speakers. Volunteers, sponsors, time zones — all managed through spreadsheets and duct tape. The breaking point that became our starting point.
2025
Meetello launches
Everything we wished existed — event planning, call-for-proposals, agenda building, registration, finances, speaker coordination, community groups, and sustainability tracking — in one platform.
